“Ram”

Shree Ram! The name brings positivity within us. It emits  positiveness. I always wondered why people are very fascinated by Shree Ram. Why do they admire him? I didn’t know yet, and then in this lockdown started watching old Ramayan series. There is no dearth of Gods in India. But I must say everyone should watch Ramanand sagar Ramayan (1989). I discovered many things in Ramayan which can make you a good human being.

I personally feel every Indian should know about Shree Ram. Not because he is a Hindu God. But because of the man he is....the person he is....I bet he will instil kindness within you. This is my personal opinion. I saw my 2 year old daughter getting so engrossed with Shree Ram while watching Ramayan. We never forced her to watch. On her own she liked watching Ramayan. Every time when ramayan character bowed their head. She followed them bowed her head. She learnt something good from the series.

Ramayan gives you many life lessons. One I remember now that goes like this -  Laxman goes to Shree Ram and asks him, "bhaiya Guruji Bata rahe the ki aap swayam bhagwan Shree Vishnu ke avatar hai. Pitaji ko aapki jivan Shaili ka pura abhas tha. Unhe pahle se pata tha ki kya hone wala hai. Fir ye duke, vilap aur pida ku hue unko."
Shree Ram says, “Bhagwan toh hum sab main hai. Tum swayam Bhagwan ka Ansh hi ho. Hum sab Manav hai isliye manushya Moh Maya ke Jaal m fasa hua hai. Isliye unhe ye pida ka anubhav hua.
This is true that we all are in control of our desires. We are running constantly to attain worldly comforts. When we get One then suddenly we realise that other thing will give us more pleasure. So we start running towards that and we never get satisfied with what we have. That’s absolutely true.

I was watching Irrfan khan’s interview and found one thing was common in every interview where he says "we all have a very personal connection with God and that is our personal thing”. That’s right. I think if you personally connect with Shree Ram, it brings immense happiness within you. Everyone can discover something different in him. That’s completely our personal connection with Shree Ram.
When we say Maryada Purushottam, It creates an image of Shree Ram in our mind. He made sacrifices to uphold his people’s respect and function in accordance with ‘Dharm’, without letting his own personal feelings or outcomes affect the decisions. This is what makes him the much revered King popular right across the length and breadth of India. This is why we respect him and worship him as a God.

Jai Shree Ram!
